”The dream of homeownership is dead”

One of the most longstanding emphases of the "American Dream" is owning a home, so I drew a basic "Welcome Home" doormat on a porch from an overhead view; except, this doormat reflects the vanishing feasibility of the prospect of younger generations buying their own homes — I lowered the opacity of the lettering in the word “Home” and cast a shadow over the word.
